KidsGazette invited guest photographer Ineta Kirse to capture the hot, sunny days spent in the lovely Latvian countryside. A little bit of summer magic, scorching midday summer sun and long evening walks along dusty, dried out country roads. Kids spending days exploring and being free, not bothering about a scraped knee or a sunburnt shoulder. Coming up with ways to play without the modern-day influences and not going to bed until late in the night.
Being a Grandmom of two, Ineta says that she enjoyed catching these moments even more.
“Do you know why children are so full of energy? Because they suck it out of their grandparents
Grandmother-grandchild relationships are simple. Grandmas are short on criticism and long on love. If I had known how wonderful it would be to have grandchildren, I’d have had them first.” (unknown)
