It is impossible to find a more complete fusion with nature than that of a Gypsy [FRANZ LISZT]… where you hear murmurs of water, whispers of wind and fire, children laughs, midnight dancing and mixing of fabrics and flowing materials.
I’ve always seen myself as one of those “show people”. My first memories are wanting and needing to entertain people, like a gypsy traveller, who goes from place to place, city to city, performing for audiences and reaching people. [BRITTANY MURPHY]
Luckily, I was raised by a kind of gypsy family, which is why I always get along better with people who worked in circuses than with kids of other actors. My mom was so carefree with us in a beautiful way. We were used to sleeping anywhere. [LOU DOILLON]

Last week was a crazy run. You know, since September when kids started going to school/kindergarten, dances, sports…attending all that stuff that makes their life more exciting (and mine much less) as with every day more and more I become a crazy lady driver taking them back and forth through out the town. And above all that, I’m still trying to earn something for living. Thanks God, I love my work, because otherwise I’d become a mad man. Continue reading →

“I was just on my way over to invite you to help me celebrate my birthday on Saturday,” said Anne.
“Your birthday? But your birthday was in March!”
“That wasn’t my fault,” laughed Anne. “If my parents had consulted me it would never have happened then. I should have chosen to be born in spring, of course. It must be delightful to come into the world with the mayflowers and violets. You would always feel that you were their foster sister. But since I didn’t, the next best thing is to celebrate my birthday in the spring. Priscilla is coming over Saturday and Jane will be home. We’ll all four start off to the woods and spend a golden day making the acquaintance of the spring. We none of us really know her yet, but we’ll meet her back there as we never can anywhere else. I want to explore all those fields and lonely places anyhow. I have a conviction that there are scores of beautiful nooks there that have never really been seen although they may have been looked at. We’ll make friends with wind and sky and sun, and bring home the spring in our hearts.” Continue reading →
Summer fell upon Paris, with everyone still intently following his own subterranean course of passion or habit and looking up like a startled creature of the night at the blazing June sun. Now, all of a sudden, there was an impelling necessity to go away, to give a continuation or a meaning to the winter that had just gone by.
